Autumn foliage in eastern Oklahoma
Black Mesa (elevation about 5000) at the tip of                                  the Oklahoma "Panhandle" adjoining New Mexico.
Lake Eufaula-  About 1 1/2 hours                                               East of Oklahoma City.
Horned Lizard (or "horny toad").  They are small and not at all dangerous.  Although not officially designated as an "endangered species", they are considered "protected".  Found in Oklahoma, Texas, and other states.
"POPS"-  Modern-day icon on old Route 66 near Arcadia, Oklahoma.  They have hundreds of different soft drinks in bottles (also food and gasoline). 
Parts of legendary U.S. Route 66 remain in Oklahoma.  Many travelers, including from other countries, get their nostalgic "kicks" on it.
